To eat at the restaurant of our beloved Malaga chef José Carlos García is to enjoy life. We know this very well.
Our Michelin star has adapted its menu and experience to the summer season on its terrace at Muelle Uno, in collaboration with the prestigious champagne house Laurent-Perrier. The terrace, with its characteristic sea views in an exclusive atmosphere, becomes the perfect setting to enjoy exquisite gastronomy and the best champagnes.
José Carlos is passionate about zero-kilometre products and the menu he has created is based on traditional Andalusian recipes.
Highlights include salted butter brioche with lobster and cocktail sauce, oyster with Bloody Mary, shrimp with coconut and seaweed, langoustine and foie ravioli, caviar with butter and brioche bread, scallop and citrus tartlet, Blázquez tenderloin, a selection of Malaga cheeses, tocino de cielo with citrus and chocolates in textures. In short, each mouthful is a sensory explosion that pairs perfectly with Laurent-Perrier champagnes.
The terrace, moreover, could not be in a more privileged location. It is open to the outside, with marvellous views of the sea and located next to the Chapel of the Virgen del Carmen, Muelle Uno. In addition, it is opposite the mega yacht mooring and you can see the Alcazaba and the cathedral.
Since last year, the collaboration between the Laurent-Pierre house and José Carlos García aims, in a more informal way with a snack and a magnificent champagne, to make the visitors of the restaurant fall in love.
José Carlos García has always been attracted by the assemblage in the kitchen and has been working in gastronomy for more than 25 years, after finishing his studies at La Cónsula. The chef is a lover of local produce and challenges traditional Andalusian recipes with his technique and small doses of daring.
In the restaurant that bears his name (Michelin Star and two Repsol Suns) located in the heart of Muelle Uno, Puerto de Málaga, his gastronomy is a reflection of his own personality. José Carlos describes it as the classicism of his family heritage with ‘a touch of Rock and Roll’.
Trying José Carlos García Restaurante is, without a doubt, a unique experience.
